Cement, masonry, plastered walls, concrete, fibre cement, cementitious tiles, timber and building boards apply one coat of a suitable Promac Plaster Primer. ?
PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES: Ensure surfaces are dry (15 % moisture maximum), in sound condition and clean. Restore to a sound strong surface before repainting. Remove all loose materials mechanically, with a wire brush, or by water or sand blasting, then thoroughly clean surfaces with a suitable multi-prep surface cleaner. Bare metal or galvanized surfaces must be primed with a suitable Promac anti-corrosive metal primer or metal etch primer. (Prime metal fasteners (screw/nail heads) with a suitable Promac metal primer). Friable previously painted acrylic surfaces, after cleaning, apply one coat of a suitable Promac plaster primer. FIRST COAT: Apply undiluted Promac Rubber Duck Seal Flex at a uniform wet film thickness of 1400 μm or 0.6 – 0.7 m²/litre. Allow to dry for at least 12 hours before continuing.
SECOND COAT: Apply a second coat undiluted of Promac Rubber Duck Seal Flex at right angles to the first coat, at a uniform wet film thickness of 1400 μm or 0.6 – 0.7 m²/litre.
JOINTS: While still wet with a fresh coating, embed non-woven polyester fabric membrane into the first coat of Promac Rubber Duck Seal Flex and saturate. This increases the film strength over joints.
